The Transkei, which forms a large section of the wild coast is a breathtaking stretch of South Africa’s coastline, known for its rugged cliffs, rolling green hills, and unspoiled beaches. It has a strong Xhosa heritage and cattle too play an important cultural and economic role throughout the area.
Roam's Transkei poster captures an iconic herd of Nguni cows roaming freely along the beach - a scene that perfectly embodies this region’s peaceful spirit. Its early morning and there is still a slight mist rolling in with the waves as two Blacksmith Lapwings fly across the landscape.
